2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently working on the forthcoming third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.

Leadership Shift Comes After Mixed Response

The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' disappointing early showing last fall.

The gamer responses from last autumn’s Project ETHOS playtest was revealing. It confirmed the potential of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It revealed the requirement for a more distinct identity.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve come. You took the feedback to heart and overhauled Project ETHOS with a renewed goal - one that’s positioned to fulfill its potential to our players.

Our confidence in Project ETHOS grows every day. To boost the remarkable advancement you’ve made, I am thrilled to announce Ben Brinkman as the incoming Lead of 31st Union. After a period of conversations, he comes aboard us on the specified date.

His management and expertise in the competitive gaming space is considerable, having spent the recent years producing and overseeing some of the most recognizable series in the industry, for example Call of Duty: Black Ops, and lately, the battle royale hit.
